With a diverse audio and editorial background, Sam has created and contributed to a wide variety of audio storytelling projects.
Heritage Radio Network
Since 2024, Sam has been a producer, audio engineer, and reporter for NYC-based food podcasting network Heritage Radio Network, or HRN. As a Research and Radio Fellow, Sam wrote stories and produced numerous episodes of Meat + Three, including the Signal Award and Davey Award winning "The Bittersweet History of Pralines".

Sam now engineers and produces several different podcasts on the network, including The Build, Meat + Three, Japan Eats!, Progressive Hedonist with Dana Cowin, and Pizza Quest. Sam has also produced, engineered, and hosted multi-episode arcs on the network for the limited series From The Pantry. Radio: Local News & Interviews
At WTJU, the University of Virginia's official radio station, Sam was in charge of creating multiple segments for broadcast. This involved not only recording and mixing, but also researching subjects and conducting interviews with them. Below are two examples of local news segments Sam created:
