Sam Gerardi

OL!VES is the brainchild of Brooklyn-based composer, producer, and musician Sam Gerardi. After seeing The Wiggles live in concert at age 2, Sam developed a deep love for music, blossoming into a multi-instrumentalist and musical jack-of-all-trades. His works frequently intertwine original material with samples, transforming sounds to completely change their character and purpose. His latest release, BRUISE, was entirely recorded, mixed, and mastered alone, and focuses on the foul cocktail of emotions that one must down after heartbreak. Created for his Distinguished Major in Composition at the University of Virginia, BRUISE earned Sam the honor of High Distinction.

 

Sam’s audio production skills are also seen beyond his personal projects. He has produced a wide variety of audio content, from multiple podcasts to live albums to film scores. He also has years of expereince experience as an audio engineer and technician for live music and festivals. This has given Sam a deep understanding of all steps of the recording and mixing process, whether in a studio or live on air.
